Safety
Calimax Pellet Stoves win hands down when it comes to safety. Our pellet
stoves start up and switch off automatically according to the pre-set
temperature. The security system analyses the operating conditions and,
if anything deviates from the norm, it reacts accordingly. For example,
if the stove surface temperature exceeds a certain figure, fuel feed
stops immediately.. If the temperature falls below the pre-set minimum
level, which can be a sign of poor combustion, operation stops as well.
The pressure levels in the chimney are also monitored, and the stove
is switched off immediately if the pressure exceeds a certain level.
The Calimax model with a hot water heat exchanger provides another
safety feature – a security temperature limiter (STB). A thermal
exhaust back-up, as required for boilers, is unnecessary because the
layer of embers that accumulates in the burn pot is thin and the low
level of heat it radiates cannot produce an unsafe operating level.
